چکیده

Development of Gasoline Engine Management Systems control features Tata Consultancy Services in alliance with a leading Tier-1 supplier has developed control and diagnostic features to be implemented for a Gasoline Engine Management System (EMS) that will be used in a passenger car that meets EU4 emission norms. From the high level requirements provided by the Tier-1 , the control features development was executed through model-based design using state-of-theart tool-chain that enables seamless integration of all the embedded software development life cycle (SDLC) activities. Using the Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) testing concepts and engine plant models, it was possible to conduct a series of real-time verification and validation tasks to ensure defectfree and first-time-right control strategy implementation.

Optimal Idle Speed Control of a Natural Aspirated Gasoline Engine Using Bio-inspired Meta- heuristic Algorithms

In order to lowering level of emissions of internal combustion engines (ICEs), they should be optimally controlled. However, ICEs operate under numerous operating conditions, which in turn makes it difficult to design controller for such nonlinear systems. In this article, a generalized unique controller for idle speed control under whole loading conditions is designed. In the current study, in...

A New Approach to Functional and Software Structure for Engine Management Systems - BOSCH ME7

This paper describes the new Engine Management System (EMS) ME7. Torque and A/F demands for modern EMS result from both, internal functions (i.e. engine start, idle speed control, catalyst heating) and external systems (i.e. driver’s request, transmission or vehicle dynamic control). With ME7 these demands are processed to the optimized actions of the actuators by a centrally coordinated torque...
